Provide and deliver products and services
Asset financing
We process personal data when you, as a private individual or business customer, apply for asset financing for, for example, a car, office technology, trucks, construction machinery, or other types of equipment. The products we offer are rental, loans, leasing, and fleet management with a pledge on the object or ownership of the asset.
We obtain information directly from you, from our internal systems, public registers, or through our partners. We may also collect information from the Swedish Tax Administration and credit reference agencies.
When you or your company have entered into an agreement with us, we process personal data in order to follow up the customer relationship and to register ongoing repayment of the loan or payment of rent.
We also process personal data to prevent misuse of the product and to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
To safeguard our financial interests, we may in some cases transfer personal data to a debt collection agency that handles any default process. If a default has resulted in a loss, we store certain personal data about you for future credit assessments.
The credit assessment carried out is partly automated but based on a model that is predefined and controlled by us. If you suspect an incorrect assessment or wish to appeal the assessment, you can do so via our complaints portal.
The legal basis for the processing is the fulfillment of the agreement we have with you. If you are a business customer, or a contact person for a business customer, we rely on our legitimate interest to process your personal data. Our legitimate interest is to offer, manage, and deliver the service to the company for which you act as a contact person.
In the event of a breach of the agreement, we have a legitimate interest in transferring information to a debt collection agency. Our legitimate interest is to safeguard the bank’s financial rights.
We store the information for 10 years after the contractual relationship has ended, in accordance with the statutory limitation period.
We store cases of default, including related information, for up to 4 years after the case has been resolved in our internal systems. The case is then placed in a restricted status for an additional 9 years, requiring special access permissions for our employees.
When we collect and process information about you, you have several rights under data protection rules and legislation. This includes the right of access, the right to data portability, the right to rectification of any errors and the right of erasure, which means that we must, on our own initiative, delete information that is no longer necessary for the purpose of the processing.
We will always consider any objections you may have to the processing of your personal data. Read about how you can exercise your data protection rights in our privacy notice under ‘Your rights’.
